Cake Marvel Cake Pan Lid
Use and Description (Updated)

Cake Marvel Cake Pan Lid - Description and Instructions (Updated May, 2013

The patent pending Cake Marvel cake pan lid prevents a dome shaped cake when baking. Prevent waste of excess batter that must be cut away after your cake is baked to get a flat top cake that is to be used as the canvas for your cake decoration. The standard cake pan lid is designed to fit Wilton® 2 inch performance cake pans commonly found in most retail stores. Cake Marvel Cake Pan Lids also fit round Celebrate It® 2” cake pans and Fat Daddios® distributed by most hobby superstores and cake supply stores. If you have a particular cake pan that you would like to use with the Cake Marvel cake baking lid, please contact us at support@cakemarvel.com or by phone at (956) 508-3260

Directions: The lid is to be used during baking with your cake pan in order to get a flat professional looking cake top. There will be no dome after the lid is removed. The Cake Marvel Cake Pan lid allows for air pressure and steam to escape while at the same time distributing heat evenly resulting in your cake baking evenly and preventing lopsidedness or a cake dome from forming. Please follow your cake mix directions for baking time. Different cake mixes and sizes will have different baking times. When the lid is placed over the cake pan, press the tabs inward to ensure that it is snapped tight.

For a perfect flat cake, fill cake pan approximately ½ of the way with cake batter. Remember to spray pan and lid before filling with batter. When cake is removed from oven, immediately remove the cake pan lid using oven safe mitts, insert toothpick and remove to check if cake is baked (There should not be any raw cake mix clinging to the toothpick). If more baking time is required, the cake may be placed back in the oven for more time. The cake lid does not have to be replaced on pan once the cake is cooked.
